Who are you?

Hi, I’m Anna Rohesalu, a freshly graduated animation student from Turku University of Applied Sciences.

My specialities lie in visual design and art direction. There I try to focus more in visual story telling. I particularly enjoy telling stories through illustration, character, background, and prop design. For me, discovering a visual style that enhances the story while adhering to project constraints is a rewarding challenge.

I’m also passionate about animation, which I see as a crucial element of a project’s visual identity. I believe the type and style of animation should complement the visual design. In animation I particularly enjoy character animation, where I can act out the scenes. But I don’t think there is an animation I would not be enjoy doing.

When I’m not drawing, you’ll often find me playing video games, reading comics, or exploring various crafts, like sewing, knitting and jewellery making. I also enjoy using my hobbies as a fuel to expand my art. I enjoy making multimedia projects where I can utilise all my different skills.,
